ING and Eclipse de Luna

Yesterday, myself, Dani, Keith, Victor and a few other peeps that I know ran the ING. Most of us ran the half, Keith ran the full as his "training run"!!!! Please, who runs a full marathon in less then 4 hours and calls it a "training run"?!!! Keith, you are an incredible athlete and a MAJOR sandbagger!

Due to my dumbness we arrived at Turner Field at 6:30am (with a 7am start) and Steven asled where were all 15000 people and why was it dark? Dani tried to call a few peeps, bu no reply! Then, Steven said that he saww barricades by the Centennial Olympic Park, so there we went. Got it right that time! (I will never hear the end of this one!!!!)

Got there just in time to let our bowels empty and for a short, drunken warm up. Dani and i kept running into eachother. Neither one of us got very much sleep the night before.

The race was organized great. There was so much support on the sidelines. It really made my race so much easier. All of us PRd at this race! How awesome is that!

Today, I do not feel sore or tired~this goes to show, that my training is paying off.

Special thanx to my awesome husband and Spanx for your support!!!!!!!!!!

That evening the group met up at Eclipse de Luna (yum!) to meet Olgita's mom whom she has not seen in quite a few years. They both were glowing. I am so happy for both of them.
I pigged out. Keith said that he has never seen me eat that much before, I was starving!!!!!
The night went great, time good spent with awesome friends.

Ouch!!!!!

For some reason, today it hurts! Felt great running yesterday(great to see you, Spanx!) but today, yuck. 1 hr on the trainer felt like the Ironman (if i knew what that felt like, this would be it, pain, pain and more pain!) Of course, in my mind I am healing nicely, so will be heading back to the gym in the am. I think with all these wounds I will have the dreadmill all to myself and the 2 on each side. There is a positive side to everything!!!!

Intimidated

Yesterday at the lunachix meeting I have met 7 (I already know Dani) of the strongest women triathletes! They are all super fast! I am soooo much slower than them! I guess this will give me the incentive to train a whole lot harder! Pretty intimidating. Well, so far for my race schedule I have 2 olympics, 2 sprints, 2 duathlons, ING 1/2 marathon, Peachtree 10k and may be a relay with Olga and Dani if we have time. We will have to figure out "team beat who?" we will be. I better start paying attention to Oscar and Boo before they completely destroy my house. Till next time!

The beginning

I want to try to put my thoughts on paper/screen in this case. So many thoughts running through my head and it is so hard to write them down. It's been a heck of couple of weeks. Training has been harder than ever, and the pressure is on, my first triathlon is in less than 4 weeks, and I have not been swimming due to hand injury, not supposed to get it wet. I've been freaking out over it, even tried to swim with a surgical glove on no luck1 I wonder what people at the gym thought! Well enough of rambling, off to a team Lunachix meeting(a triathlon team that i am on). till next time.
